I’ve worked with three different churches in that eight years of youth ministry.  The first was a mega church in a middle city (not quite inner city) environment.  The program was huge, and I learned much about programming and events on a large scale.  The second church was a Taiwanese congregation of about a thousand where I worked with the English congregation, junior, high school, and college.  The third was a church in our own diocese, Trinity Winchester, where I spent the first two years of my time in Middle Tennessee.  Trinity is a congregational-sized parish in a rural setting.

These three churches provided a fairly broad sweep of experience with youth in different contexts and from different cultures, allowing me insight into what it takes to do youth ministry in different places, and what youth from different backgrounds are dealing with.
